Local decisions bring global change

Best practice regulations will be ineffective unless solutions are implemented locally.

Globalization is a matter not just of trade or information, but of impact. CO2 affects everyone as climate change, desertification, water and food stress have  a deep impact on geography, social demographics and social stability worldwide. What our neighbours do, or fail to do, affects us all. 

Given the current stage of economic development, the rising population, high rate of urbanisation and legitimate aspirations to better standards of living, developing countries and, more specifically China because of its geography, population and influence, will be of major importance to the future world green ”balance”.   

Consequently, the objective of the China Green Tour, is to act as a communication tool for the civil society, from manual workers to CEO’s, officials and consumers – key players who, directly and indirectly, have a major impact on our planet. Impact which is not always accompagnied by a clear understanding of their environmental footprint or ways to modify it. 

Growing local actions and concern could also facilitate the acceptance, extension or effectiveness of greener policies. Blame is not the issue ; The planet is already beyond that.

Awareness and effective solutions are our objectives. Inspiring examples from existing social, scientific and business fields, are the tools we will use to demonstrate that these solutions lie in everyone's hands, and that they can be adapted to meet the specifics of economic, natural and cultural differences.
